Toe walking is a gait pattern in which an individual walks on the balls of their feet without allowing their heels to touch the ground. If physical therapy is not effective, other treatments such as bracing, casting, or night splints may be used to gently stretch the muscles and encourage normal walking. In cases related to neurological or muscular conditions, a more comprehensive approach, including medical management, physical therapy, and sometimes surgical interventions, may be necessary to address the underlying condition and improve gait.
